These Regulations specify two additional descriptions of works in respect of which assistance may be given for any dwelling by a local housing authority under section 131 of the Local Government and Housing Act 1989.

The first additional description of work is the replacement of lead pipes and associated equipment used for supplying drinking or cooking water to a dwelling by a pipe not made of lead. The second additional description of work is the replacement of electrical earthing arrangements which use such a lead pipe.
