The Race Relations Code of Practice (Non-Rented Housing) Order 1992

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him by section 47(7) of the Race Relations Act 1976(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Race Relations Code of Practice (Non-Rented Housing) Order 1992 and shall come into force on 1st April 1992.

Code of Practice

2. The day appointed for the coming into effect of the Code of Practice in Non-Rented Housing for the elimination of racial discrimination and the promotion of equal opportunities (ISBN 1-85442-073-9) issued by the Commission for Racial Equality under section 47(7) of the Race Relations Act 1976 is 18th June 1992.

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order appoints 18th June 1992 as the date on which the Code of Practice for the elimination of racial discrimination and the promotion of equal opportunities in the field of non-rented housing, issued by the Commission of Racial Equality, shall come into force. The Code may be obtained from the Commission at Elliott House, 10-12 Allington Street, London SW1E 5EH.
