The Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 2) Order 1993

The Secretary of State, in exercise of powers conferred by section 1 of the Import, Export and Customs Powers (Defence) Act 1939(1) and now vested in him(2), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:

1. This Order may be cited as the Export of Goods (Control) (Amendment No. 2) Order 1993 and shall come into force on 24th July 1993.

2. The Export of Goods (Control) Order 1992(3) shall be further amended as follows:-

Explanatory Note

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Export of Goods (Control) Order 1992:

(i)by removing most vaccines from control;

(ii)by removing fluorine from control;

(iii)by extending the control on certain accelerometers designed for use in inertial navigation systems or in guidance systems to include specially designed components;

(iv)by extending the control on certain gyros usable in missiles to include specially designed components;

(v)by extending the control on certain solid and liquid fuelled rocket engines and rocket stages including specially designed production equipment, production facilities and technology required for their development, production or use.
