The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 204 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 1987(1) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the Housing Revenue Account General Fund Contribution Limits (Scotland) Order 1996 and shall come into force on 1st March 1996.
2. The amount of contribution out of their general fund which a local authority may estimate that they will carry to the credit of their housing revenue account for the year 1996-97 shall be limited to nil.

This Order provides that local authorities may not include in their estimates for the year 1996-97 any contribution from their general fund to their housing revenue account.
