The Secretary of State for the Environment, after consultation with such associations of authorities to whom section 2 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980(1) applies as to appear to him to be concerned, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of that Act(2) and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Local Government (Publication of Information about Unused and Underused Land) (England) (Revocation) Regulations 1996 and shall come into force on 3rd April 1996.
2. The Local Government (Publication of Information about Unused and Underused Land) (England) Regulations 1992(3) are hereby revoked.

These Regulations revoke the Local Government (Publication of Information about Unused and Underused Land) (England) Regulations 1992, which required local authorities to publish the information specified in the Code of Recommended Practice for the Publication of Information about Unused and Underused Land owned by the Secretary of State for the Environment under section 2 of the Local Government, Planning and Land Act 1980.
1980 c. 65. Relevant amendment to section 2 has been made by Schedules 14 and 17 to the Local Government Act 1985 (c. 51) and Schedule 13 to the Education Reform Act 1988 (c. 40).
There has been an amendment of section 3 which is not relevant to these Regulations.
