The Secretary of State for Transport, in exercise of the powersw conferred by section 6(1) and (3) and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984(1), and all other powers enabling him in that behalf, and after consultation with the Commissioner of Police for the Metropolis pursuant to section 7(6) of that Act(2), hereby makes the following Order:
1. This Order may be cited as the A40 Trunk Road (Western Avenue, Ealing) (Prescribed Routes) Order 1997 and shall come into force on 31st March 1997.
2. In this Order-
"Concord Road" means a road known by that name in the London Borough of Ealing; and
"Western Avenue" means that length of the A40 Trunk Road known by that name in the London Borough of Ealing.
3. No person shall cause or permit any vehicle proceeding in the westbound main carriageway of Western Avenue to turn left into Concord Road.
