The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on him by sections 134 and 163(1) of the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991(1), and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Road Works (Inspection Fees) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 1998 and shall come into force on 1st May 1998.
2. In regulation 3(1) of the Road Works (Inspection Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1992(2) for the figure of "£12.50" there shall be substituted "£14.50".

These amendment Regulations provide for an increase in fee to £14.50 (previously £12.50) payable by undertakers for inspections of their work by road works authorities under regulation 3(1) of the Road Works (Inspection Fees) (Scotland) Regulations 1992 (S.I. 1992/1676).
