The Queen's Most Excellent Majesty in Council
Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred on Her by section 315(2) of the Merchant Shipping Act 1995(1) and all other powers enabling Her in that behalf, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is hereby ordered, as follows:-
1. This Order may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution) (Sovereign Base Areas) (Amendment) Order 1998 and shall come into force on 23rd April 1998.
2. In the section 177(1) set out in the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Oil Pollution) (Sovereign Base Areas) Order 1997(2) the words "damage done to a ship" shall be replaced by the words "damage done by a ship".
