The A52 Trunk Road (Derby to Calton Moor) (Detrunking) Order 2002

  Made 26th April 2002 
  Coming into force 17th May 2002 

The Secretary of State for Transport, Local Government and the Regions has made this Order in exercise of powers conferred by sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and now vested in him[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:

     1. This Order may be cited as the A52 Trunk Road (Derby to Calton Moor) (Detrunking) Order 2002 and shall come into force on 17th May 2002.

    
2. In this Order - 

     3. The length of the trunk road described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a trunk road and shall be classified as a principal road from the date on which this Order comes into force.

THE SCHEDULE

LENGTH OF THE TRUNK ROAD CEASING TO BE A TRUNK ROAD


The length of trunk road ceasing to be a trunk road is between its junction with the A38 trunk road at Markeaton Park Roundabout in the City of Derby (marked "A" on the plan), and continuing in a north-westerly direction through Kirk Langley, Brailsford, Osmaston and around Ashbourne, in the County of Derbyshire, and crossing the River Dove into the County of Staffordshire, to its junction with the A523 at Calton Crossroads (marked "B" on the plan). It is shown by broad black dashes on the plan and is approximately 27 kilometres in length.
