The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 52(1), 60(1)(e) and (1A) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981[1] and by section 126(1)(c) and 134 of the Transport Act 1985[2] and by virtue of the Department of Transport (Fees) Order 1988[3].
He has consulted with representative organisations in accordance with section 61(2) of the Public Passenger Vehicles Act 1981[4].
Citation and commencement
1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Minibus and Other Section 19 Permit Buses (Amendment) Regulations 2007 and shall come into force on 1st April 2007.
Amendments
2.
—(1) The Minibus and Other Section 19 Permit Buses Regulations 1987[5] are amended as follows.
(2) In regulation 4(a), for "£19" substitute "£20".
(3) In regulation 4(b), for "£10" substitute "£11".

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations increase the fee for a permit granted under section 19 of the Transport Act 1985 in respect of the use of a large bus from £19 to £20 (an increase of 5.3% ) and in respect of the use of a small bus from £10 to £11 (an increase of 10% ). The fees were last increased on 30th September 2005.
