The Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Intervention Orders) (Amendment) Order 2010

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in the exercise of the powers conferred by section 1G(10) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998(1).

Citation, commencement and extent

1.–(1) This Order may be cited as the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Intervention Orders) (Amendment) Order 2010 and shall come into force on 30th April 2010.

(2) This Order extends to England and Wales.

Amendment of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Intervention Orders) Order 2006

2. For article 4(a) of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Intervention Orders) Order 2006(2) substitute–

"(a) "appropriate activities" are such activities as are involved in the provision of drug misuse treatment services under the "Models of care for treatment of adult drug misusers: Update 2006" published by the National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse in July 2006, and".

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Crime and Disorder Act 1998 (Intervention Orders) Order 2006 by prescribing the appropriate activities which may be included in an Intervention Order made under section 1G of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. The appropriate activities are activities which are involved in the provision of services under the "Models of care for treatment of adult drug misusers: Update 2006" publication which can be downloaded on the National Treatment Agency for Substance Misuse´s website (www.nta.nhs.uk) or ordered by emailing [email protected] or telephoning 08701 555 455 and quoting product code MOC3.
