The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 5(1) of, and paragraph 13(6) of Schedule 1 to, the Offender Management Act 2007(1).
1. This Order may be cited as the Offender Management Act 2007 (Establishment of Probation Trusts) (Amendment) Order 2012 and shall come into force on 30th May 2012.
2.-(1) The Offender Management Act 2007 (Establishment of Probation Trusts) Order 2010(2) is amended as follows.
(2) After article 3 insert-
3A. Wales Probation Trust is designated as a Welsh probation trust."

This Order amends the Offender Management Act 2007 (Establishment of Probation Trusts) Order 2010 by inserting a new article 3A. New article 3A designates Wales Probation Trust as a "Welsh probation trust". The amendment will enable the Auditor General for Wales to examine the accounts of the Wales Probation Trust in accordance with paragraph 13 of Schedule 1 to the Offender Management Act 2007.
