The Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster makes these Regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 22(2) of the Transparency of Lobbying, Non-Party Campaigning and Trade Union Administration Act 2014(1).
1.-(1) These Regulations may be cited as the Registration of Consultant Lobbyists (Amendment) (No. 2) Regulations 2015.
(2) These Regulations extend to the United Kingdom.
(3) These Regulations come into force on 1st January 2016.
2. In regulation 5(1)(c) of the Registration of Consultant Lobbyists Regulations 2015(2) for "£700" in both places it appears substitute "£950".

These Regulations amend regulation 5 of the Registration of Consultant Lobbyists Regulations 2015 to increase the annual charge per registered consultant lobbyist in connection with the maintenance of the register. The annual charge will increase from £700 to £950 per calendar year. If a person joins the register part way through a year, the annual charge will be calculated as the appropriate proportion of £950 for the remainder of that calendar year.
A regulatory impact assessment has not been prepared for these Regulations as no or minimal impact on the public, voluntary or private sectors is foreseen. A regulatory impact assessment has been prepared as to the likely cost and benefits of complying with the Registration of Consultant Lobbyists Regulations 2015. A copy can be obtained from the Constitutional Settlement Division of the Cabinet Office, 1 Horse Guards Road, London, SW1A 2HQ.
2014 c. 4. The reference in section 22(2) to regulations means regulations made by the Minister: section 24(1); "the Minister" is defined in section 25(1). That section was amended by the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster Order 2015 (S.I. 2015/1376) and under article 3 of that Order this power is exercisable concurrently by the Secretary of State and the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
