2 Short title, collective citation and construction.


AN ACT TO INCREASE THE REMUNERATION OF JUDGES OF THE SUPREME COURT, HIGH COURT AND CIRCUIT COURT AND OF JUSTICES OF THE DISTRICT COURT.

[8th December, 1959.]

BE IT ENACTED BY THE OIREACHTAS AS FOLLOWS:—

Increase of remuneration of judges and of justices.

1.—The remuneration of judges of the Supreme Court, High Court and Circuit Court and of justices of the District Court shall, with effect from the 1st day of January, 1959, be increased by ten per cent.

Short title, collective citation and construction.

2.—(1) This Act may be cited as the Courts of Justice Act, 1959 .

(2) The Courts of Justice Acts, 1924 to 1953, and this Act may be cited together as the Courts of Justice Acts, 1924 to 1959.

(3) This Act shall be construed as one with the Courts of Justice Acts, 1924 to 1953.
