I, SEAN F. LEMASS, Minister for Industry and Commerce, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Article 31 of the Emergency Powers Order, 1939 (S. R. & O. No. 224 of 1939), as amended by the Emergency Powers (No. 173) Order, 1942 (S. R. & O. No. 166 of 1942) (which Orders are continued in force by the Supplies and Services (Temporary Provisions) Act, 1946 (No. 22 of 1946)), and of every and any other power me in this behalf enabling, hereby order as follows :-- |

1. This Order may be cited as the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Supplemental Provisions) (No. 4) Order, 1948. |
||
2. In this Order, the expression " the Principal Order " means the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 ( S. R. & O. No. 388 of 1946 ), as amended by the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (First Amendment) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 56 of 1947 ), the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Second Amendment) Order, 1947 (S. R. & O., No. 243 1947), and the Flour and Bread (Rationing) Order, 1946 (Third Amendment) Order, 1947 ( S. R. & O. No. 335 of 1947 ). |

3. This Order shall be construed as one with the Principal Order. |
||
4. This Order is supplemental to the Principal Order. |
||
5. For the purposes of the Principal Order-- |
||
(a) page 44 of a general ration book shall be a flour confectionery page. |
||
(b) each coupon forming part of the said page 44 shall be a flour confectionery coupon, but shall be valid only for any ration week in the period beginning on the 17th day of January, 1948, and ending on the 16th day of July, 1948. |
||
(c) the exchange value of a flour confectionery coupon shall be ½ lb of flour confectionery. |
||
