AGRICULTURAL PRODUCTS (RESTRICTION OF EXPORT) ORDER, 1953 (AMENDMENT) ORDER, 1978.

I, JAMES GIBBONS, Minister for Agriculture, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by Section 2 (2) of the Agricultural and Fishery Products (Regulation of Export) Act, 1947 (No. 18 of 1947), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export) Order, 1953 (Amendment) Order, 1978.

2. The Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export) Order, 1953 ( S.I. No. 234 of 1953 ), is hereby amended by the substitution of "Potatoes (excluding potatoes intended for exportation to another Member State of the European Communities)" for "Potatoes" in paragraph 20 of Part 1 of the Schedule.

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Order removes the licensing requirement contained in Agricultural Products (Restriction of Export) Order, 1953 insofar as the export of potatoes to other Member States of the European Communities is concerned. The requirement remains unchanged for exports to non-Member States.
