S.I. No. 101/1995:

FOREIGN PARCEL POST AMENDMENT (NO. 30) SCHEME, 1995.

FOREIGN PARCEL POST AMENDMENT (NO. 30) SCHEME, 1995.

AN POST, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Section 70 of the Postal and Telecommunications Services Act, 1983 (No. 24 of 1983), and with the consent of the Minister for Transport, Energy and Communications, hereby makes the following Scheme:

1. (1) This Scheme may be cited as the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 30) Scheme, 1995.

(2) This Scheme shall be operative from the 3rd day of April, 1995.

2. In this Scheme--

"The Principal Warrant" means the Foreign Parcel Post Warrant, 1953 ( S.I. No. 418 of 1953 ).

"Scheme No. 19" means the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 19) Scheme, 1985 ( S.I. No. 40 of 1985 ).

"Scheme No. 27" means the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 27) Scheme, 1992 ( S.I. No. 256 of 1992 ).

"Scheme No. 28" means the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 28) Scheme, 1993 ( S.I. No. 97 of 1993 ).

"Scheme No. 29" means the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 29) Scheme, 1994 ( S.I. No. 99 of 1994 ).

3. The Second Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 4 of Scheme No. 28) of the entries in the First Schedule to this Scheme.

4. The Third Schedule to the Principal Warrant is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 3 of Scheme No. 27) of the entries in the Second Schedule to this Scheme.

5. Part II of the Fourth Schedule to the Principal Warrant, is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein (inserted by Regulation 6 of Scheme No. 19) of the entries in the Third Schedule to this Scheme.

6. The First Schedule to the Foreign Parcel Post Amendment (No. 20) Scheme, 1985 ( S.I. No. 96 of 1985 ), as inserted by Regulation 3 of Scheme No. 29, is hereby amended by the substitution for the entries therein of the entries in the Fourth Schedule to this Scheme.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Maximum Postage

Parcel (except an Air Mail Parcel) £125 for a parcel not exceeding 30 Kg.
Air Mail Parcel £10 per 250g.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Customs Clearance Fee

On each parcel from outside the European Union where duty is payable: £2.00

Insurance Service

EXPLANATORY NOTE.

This Scheme applies to the Foreign Parcel Post Service and shall be operative from the 3rd day of April, 1995. It authorises increases in the fees which may be charged for parcels and EMS Courier items being sent to destinations outside the State. It also authorises increases in the fees which may be charged for the Insurance Service and the Customs Clearance facility.
