Immigration Act 2003 (Section 8 Commencement) Order 2003

I, Michael McDowell TD, Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 13(2) of the Immigration Act 2003 ( No. 26 of 2003 ), hereby order as follows:

1. This Order may be cited as the Immigration Act 2003 (Section 8 Commencement) Order 2003.

2. The 11th day of August 2003 is hereby fixed as the day on which section 8 of the Immigration Act 2003 shall come into operation.

This Order commences section 8 of the Immigration Act 2003 (Exchange of Information) with effect from the 11th day of August 2003.
