Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2003

I, Micheál Martin, Minister for Health and Children, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 1(2) of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 ( No. 6 of 2002 ), hereby order as follows:

1.          This Order may be cited as Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2003.

2.          The 15^th day of October, 2003 is hereby appointed as the day on which sections 2, 3, 4, 5(1), 5(2) (in so far as it applies to section 47), 5(5), 5(6), 6, 7 and 47 of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 ( No. 6 of 2002 ) shall come into operation.

This Order may be cited as Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 (Commencement) Order 2003.

The Order commences sections 2, 3, 4, 5(1), 5(2) (in so far as it applies to section 47), 5(5), 5(6), 6, 7 and 47 of the Public Health (Tobacco) Act 2002 ( No. 6 of 2002 ) with effect from 15 October 2003.
