EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES (PESTICIDE RESIDUES) (FRUIT AND VEGETABLES) (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS 2004.

I, JOE WALSH, Minister for Agriculture, Food and Rural Development, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 3 of the European Communities Act 1972 ( No. 27 of 1972 ) and for the purpose of giving effect to Commission Directive 2003/118/EC of 5 December 2003¹ hereby make the following Regulations:

1.  These Regulations may be cited as the European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Fruit and Vegetables) (Amendment) Regulations 2004.

2.  The European Communities (Pesticide Residues) (Fruit and Vegetables) Regulations 1989 ( S.I. No. 105 of 1989 ) are amended, in Annex II to the Schedule, by deleting the entry relating to paration-methyl.

These Regulations amend existing regulations on the fixing of maximum levels for pesticide residues in and on fruit and vegetables.
