		I, BRIAN COWEN, Minister for Foreign Affairs, in exercise of the powers conferred on me by section 2(3) of the European Communities (Amendment) Act 2003 (No. 38 of 2003), hereby order as follows: 1.  This Order may be cited as the European Communities (Amendment) Act 2003 (Commencement) Order 2004. 2.  The 1st day of May 2004 is appointed as the day on which the European Communities (Amendment) Act 2003 (No. 38 of 2003) shall come into operation.
