ROAD TRAFFIC AND VEHICLES

Goods Vehicles (Testing) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004

  Made 24th August 2004 
  Coming into operation 31st August 2004 

The Department of the Environment, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by Articles 69(5) and 110(2) of the Road Traffic (Northern Ireland) Order 1995[1] and of every other power enabling it in that behalf, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement
     1. These Regulations may be cited as the Goods Vehicles (Testing) (Amendment No. 3) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2004 and shall come into operation on 31st August 2004.

Amendment of the Goods Vehicle (Testing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003
    
2. In regulation 22A(2) of the Goods Vehicle (Testing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003[2] (certificates of temporary exemption) the phrase "shall be signed by a person duly authorised by the Department and" shall be deleted.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations.)


These Regulations further amend the Goods Vehicle (Testing) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2003 by removing the requirement for each goods vehicle certificate of temporary exemption to be signed by a person duly authorised by the Department.
