HIGHWAYS, ENGLAND

The A45 (A508 Queen Eleanor Roundabout to the A14) (Trunking) Order 2001

  Made 11th May 2001 
  Coming into force 29th June 2001 

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions makes this Order in exercise of powers conferred by section 10 of the Highways Act 1980[1] and now vested in him[2], and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf:

     1.  - (1) This Order may be cited as the A45 (A508 Queen Eleanor Roundabout to the A14) (Trunking) Order 2001 and shall come into force on 29th June 2001.

    (2) In this Order, all measurements of distance are measured along the route of the relevant highway.

    
2. The length of highway described in the Schedule to this Order shall cease to be a principal road and shall become a trunk road from the date on which the Secretary of State notifies Northamptonshire County Council that he is to become the highway authority for this length of road.

    
3. The centre line of the new trunk road is indicated by a heavy black line on the plan folio numbered HA 10/PS/245 marked "The A45 (A508 Queen Eleanor Roundabout to the A14) (Trunking) Order 2001", signed by authority of the Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions and deposited at the DETR Records Management Branch, Floor 13 (IMD), Ashdown House, St. Leonards On Sea, Hastings, East Sussex TN37 7GA.

THE SCHEDULE

LENGTH OF HIGHWAY BECOMING A TRUNK ROAD


The length of highway becoming a trunk road is the A45 from the A45/A508 Junction at the Queen Eleanor Roundabout in the Parish of Wootton in the District of Northampton in the County of Northamptonshire to the A45/A14 Junction in the Parish of Thrapston in the District of East Northamptonshire in the County of Northamptonshire and is shown by a heavy black line on the plan folio numbered HA 10/PS/245 marked "The A45 (A508 Queen Eleanor Roundabout to the A14) (Trunking) Order 2001".
